Forecast: Froggy

I was opening the shades this morning, as I do every morning...I prefer to flood the house with natural sunlight as much as I can, especially since we will lose some this weekend with the time change. As I was opening them, Katherine said, "Is it froggy out today?"

I repeated, in case I didn't hear it right, "Froggy?"

"Ya, froggy."

I look at her confused.

"You know mom, froggy....cold..."

I understood, "Oh! Frosty?" (we had a light frost a few days earlier)

She said "Yes, froggy."

Then Sarah chimed in, "Rib-it!"

The Best Seat in the House!

The girls were watching a movie the other day, and there was a laundry basket in the living room from the day before, as I had folded clothes in there. I guess they thought it would make for a good movie-watching seat, so they climbed in and enjoyed the show!

New Hairdo

Katherine wanted to do her hair the other day so I said "Sure!" Quite the stylist, isn't she??

Fun at the Fall Festival! (Carousel)

Fun at the Fall Festival! (Ambulance)

Fun at the Fall Festival! (Parade)

The Fall Festival was this weekend, and the girls had a blast! We started the day off with a parade, then went to the fair with the craft tables, food stands, and rides! The girls got to ride on the carousel and the big (BIG) slide...I didn't get any good pictures of the slide (they were going too fast for the camera!), but we did get a few fun pictures of our time at the parade and the carousel! And Katherine got to go on an ambulance ride and check out the back with EMT Kris! What a fun day we had! Here are a couple pictures of the girls at the parade (they collected a TON of candy!)

"Not Yet"

We came home from a long car ride, and Sarah got out of the car. She waddled up to the house, her diaper obviously overly wet and needing changed. Even her pants and carseat were wet! (Must have been the apple juice she drank)

When asked "Sarah, do you need your diaper changed?" she replied promptly, "Not yet," and kept walking.

:) Guess she's not as ready for toilet-training as I thought!

Cowgirls Rule!

Speed Racers!

The girls enjoyed riding their bikes (and pedal tractor!) on the driveway....the weather here has been unbelievable! Gorgeous fall temperatures, sunshine, crisp air - can't beat it! So we've been trying to spend time outside instead of inside and soak up the beauty of this season.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

The girls have been full of energy this morning and have been asking to go outside...but it's raining, so we are stuck indoors for now. I did, however, open up the blinds so they could look outside and watch the rain. They seemed to enjoy that quite a bit. :)

The Final Result!

Here is Katherine's masterpiece. :)

Learning How to Trace!

I showed Katherine how to trace her hand today, and she was thrilled to do it on her own! Here they are drawing (and tracing!).

Silly Faces

The girls have been practicing their silly faces with each other and I just so happened to get them to cooperate long enough to show them off for the camera. And yes, they are VERY silly! (and a bit disgusting if you ask me!) :)

Playing Outside, Part 4

I have to note that the stick Sarah has was a "treasure" we found - and she used it for at least a solid 10 minutes as a "walking" stick. It was so cute! And Katherine is showing off another treasure - the feather - we found in the yard!
