Thanksgiving Day, Part Two

Thanksgiving Day, Part One

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I know that God has blessed us in more ways than we can count....so today we are going to take the time to thank Him for His grace and mercy in our lives. Remember: the ability to give thanks is a matter of perspective. Troubled times do not have to rob us of our gratitude. God bless!

Pajamas and such....

The girls were very excited last night to sleep in their Dora nightgowns! And of course their favorite winter hat made an appearance as well!

My Little Princesses

Katherine and Sarah played dress-up again last night. Here are some pictures of our fun!

The Definition of Cute

The girls have been in the mood for pig tails in their hair... so here are some pictures of just that. Oh - and one of Sarah after she undressed (another habit they have seemed to pick up lately...) and took her piggies out! TOO funny :) We have been VERY busy getting the house spruced up and ready for Thanksgiving!

Sarah's Room Before

Just to reference, here are pictures of Sarah's room before I painted it....quite medicinal looking if you ask me.

Sarah's Room After!

Here are pictures of Sarah's room after I painted it yesterday....I love the way it turned out, but it was no quick or easy task. However, once I figured out a few quick tricks, the job seemed to flow more easily. Sarah LOVES it, and that makes me happier than anything else. Now...Katherine's room is next.....

Are We Dizzy Yet?

In my posting of costume party pictures, I somehow passed over the spinning pictures. Katherine found it incredibly amusing that her dress spread when she spun. So here are some pictures of her spinning in her dress. Enjoy!

Two Peas in a Pod

Katherine was very upset about having to wear her patch today, so I told her she could watch a movie if she cooperated. So of course she did, and Spongebob was her reward of choice. Up onto the couch she climbed, followed shortly by her sister.

Part Three: Costume Party in Reverse!

Sarah and Katherine decided to switch dresses, but Katherine had the yellow one off almost as soon as she put it on! Here is Sarah in her other outfit for the evening!

Part Two: Costume Party, Princess Style

After Katherine's little costume experiement, I suggested we pick out something from their closet. So, naturally, Katherine thought she and Sarah should be princesses. They picked out their outfits, and I tried like crazy to get them to sit still for a picture. These are the best I got. :) The two best ones are fuzzy, go figure!

We ate candy corn, tootsie rolls, drank apple juice, and watched a princess movie! What fun!

Part One: Costume Party, Katherine Style

Instead of going trick-or-treating, we stayed home for our own "costume" party of sorts. Katherine started out with her own design....needless to say, only SHE could wear this and still look cute!
